Lausitz Energie Bergbau AG (LEAG) is a leading supplier of lignite briquettes and pellets, which are sold to end consumers both by the pallet and in smaller quantities. The business model is geared towards the B2C market. The company operates in Germany and serves customers nationwide. With around 7,000 employees, the company is one of the major players in its sector.
The task: Migration from Shopware 5 to 6
We successfully migrated the existing Shopware 5 store to the modern Shopware 6 platform (Evolve Edition) for our customer LEAG.
We transferred all relevant data and functions from the old system and integrated them seamlessly into the new environment. This ensures optimized performance, an improved user experience and future-proofing of the store.
Solution and implementation
The data was migrated using the migration wizard, which ensured an efficient and secure transfer . The required functions were implemented partly through the use of purchased modules and partly through the development of individual modules . We were also able to efficiently implement some requirements through the flexible use of the Flow Builder and the Rule Builder.
We made various adjustments and enhancements to the backend to optimize the processing of orders. These included the clear separation of shipping options for parcels and pallets in order to make shipping processing more efficient.
We also implemented interfaces to SAP to ensure the seamless transfer of orders, stock levels and order status changes, thus enabling smooth integration into the existing system landscape.
The result: an optimized Shopware 6 store
The successful migration of the Shopware 5 store to Shopware 6 (Evolve Edition) sustainably optimized the store performance and user experience. Customized functions, targeted enhancements and the integration of SAP interfaces made order processing much more efficient for LEAG's customers and employees, while at the same time establishing a future-proof system landscape .
