Realization and support B2B web store
Implementation
atlantis dx implemented the B2B online store based on Magento. The open source store system provided the basis for the general requirements of the new web store. Special B2B requirements were realized by adapting standard functions and extensions. Superfluous B2C features were removed and new features include product ratings and a keyword search. Customers now receive a three-stage login consisting of customer number, user name and password. Several users per customer are possible (customer = company). A comprehensive authorization system with rights at customer and user level controls user administration by the customer's admin. Prices and stocks originate from the Reyher SAP. A live query of customer-specific prices and current stocks has been set up.
The duration of the regular product and category import from the BMEcat structure (file size 1.5 GB) has been reduced to less than 30 minutes (previously approx. 8 hours). The (product) feature search now takes less than 2 seconds to load. This was achieved by optimizing the Catalogsearch through the use of "flat" product tables. A second category structure (standard overview) enables customers to browse through the range using DIN standards. The store uses modern display methods such as tabbed navigation and overlays. Nevertheless, the store can be maintained independently by Reyher employees.
Conclusion
Since its launch in January 2012, Reyher's online store has been highly effective and efficient. Positive feedback from customers has confirmed its good acceptance. To further extend this lead, atlantis dx is working on the continuous further development of requirements and functions.
The processing of graduated prices is currently being introduced. Customers will soon be able to create an individual quotation directly from the online store, which can later be processed directly in the merchandise management system. A mobile version is in preparation.
