Congratulations on passing your training!

Another two apprentices successfully completed their training at atlantis dx in June 2021.

One of them is Sammy, who looks back on his time as an apprentice:

Hi, I'm Sammy, 24, and I did my apprenticeship as an IT specialist for application development at atlantis dx in Hamburg.
Before I started my apprenticeship, I studied computer science. However, the course had too little practical relevance for my taste, so I looked around for alternatives. After a short period of research, I came across the "IT specialist for application development" apprenticeship and looked for companies that offered this apprenticeship. That's how I ended up at atlantis dx.

As an apprentice, I was able to get a taste of a wide variety of projects, which gave me a very good insight into different areas. I can still remember a project meeting at the beginning of my training where I only understood half of what was going on. The topic and the situation were still new to me and I was very reserved. I suppose that's how many people starting out in their careers feel - but that has changed with time and experience!

After the first few months, I was even able to take on my own tasks, such as small enhancements to our internal data warehouse. I learned to work independently very quickly.

What I particularly like about atlantis dx is the team spirit. I was able to experience this not only in the projects, but also during my entire examination phase. My colleagues also supported and motivated me in my exam preparations outside of working hours. That showed me how much my colleagues are behind me and how well our teams harmonize here.

What will happen to me after my apprenticeship? I am very pleased that I have been taken on as a Data Engineer and that my work is appreciated. So my work at atlantis dx will continue, albeit with new tasks and without vocational school ;)
